Internet not working?
If you can’t get on the internet, try these 5 simple steps:
Turn your router off for 20 seconds
Still no internet? reboot the PC.
Still no internet? click ‘Start’, in the search bar type ‘cmd’ and hit the ‘Enter’ key.
Now type ‘ipconfig’ and hit the ‘Enter’ key.
Make sure that your ip address is something like 192.168.0.? or 192.168.1.?
If it doesn’t list an IP address then swap the Ethernet cable (if on Wifi move to next step).
If it still doesn’t work not then try typing ‘ping 126.96.36.199’. You should get a reply. If you don’t then you really don’t have an internet connection and you need to call your provider.
If you get a reply, try typing ‘ping www.andisa.net’. This should display “Pinging www.andisa.net [188.8.131.52] with 32 bytes of data:” If it doesn’t not then you have a DNS problem, again call your provider.
