We got a big thankyou this week from the Rob ward – technical director of one our manufacturing customers.
They rely heavily on electrical power and have a factory sized UPS system to make sure that the machines stay running even when there is a power cut.
Recently an electrician visited to service the UPS and left before turning the mains power back on. It wasn’t spotted because the UPS kept the factory running.
Our server monitoring spotted that power had changed, and alerted our team.
When we checked with the customer they were alarmed. If we hadn’t called then Monday would have been a write off!!
So although not really part of our support, our team saved the day (or at least the next working day!).
