We have come across this problem several times where Word will be showing an account problem, click here to fix. The issue is specific to Windows 11 Home devices, and especially where you have a 365 Business Premium or InTune license.
Normally it will start with a password expiry. You try to log in again and the error messages appear.
The issue is most likely that when you signed into 365, you clicked “This Device” rather than “Just This App”.
When you do that, the system tries to enrol the PC into 365 Intune however Windows 11 Home edition cant do that. You need Windows 11 Pro instead.
Once you have attempted to do it, the system will add an account on the PC that is broken and you have to clean up.
Youโre not just signing into Microsoft OneDrive
๐ Youโre triggering:
- Azure AD Join / Registration
- MDM enrolment via Microsoft Intune
- TPM-backed credential setup
So:โ TPM error = crypto/credential issueโ This error = device enrolment failure
๐ Same root cause area: device identity is broken
