Our Hornet Cloud Backup system is based on an industry standard, enterprise class solution that is simple to install, use and manage. It proves more reliable than traditional on premises backup solutions, reducing overheads and costs whilst providing a flexible solution to planning for recovery.

Automatic

Backups are automatically run each day on your chosen schedule.
Copies are kept for 3 months on premises, and 6 months in the cloud by default

Secure

Every backup is protected by a passphrase that only you will know. This passphrase is used to encrypt your data. We can’t access the data without your pass phrase! Meaning that the system is secure.

De Duplicate

Hornet manages the backup space used by tracking every file. If multiple copies are found, then subsequent copies simply reference the first backup. This saves space and time when backing up and recovering!

Simple

If you have a lost a file then you can use the web console to recover it quickly and easily.

If your whole server or PC has failed then we can ship out a USB hard disk with a copy of your data.

Regular tests

Optionally, our system will take a copy of your data, boot it as a virtual machine and then email you to prove that the backups are working each day and are also recoverable!

Know where your data is stored.

We only use Yorkshire based UK hosting centres. You are assured that data won’t be shipped off shore.

It’s a monthly service and if you want stop, you also know that we will remove old backups so that the data remains secure.

Exchange and database option.

Microsoft Exchange mailbox and file-store backups are easily automated.
SQL Server data can be backed up with simple or full recovery methods.

Bare Metal recovery option.

The system can take an image of your servers so that complete machines can be recovered easily. These can be stored on your own premises and / or at our hosting centre.

If you need more storage, this can be easily added at £4 per 25 Gb. We try to be as fair as possible with our billing. Storage is measured in its compressed state and reported each month.

Technical Information

All data that is stored on the Andisa Storegrid cloud backup system is held in an encrypted state and the data cannot be accessed by anyone without the appropriate pass phrase.The data is stored in two Yorkshire data centres and data will never be passed to a third party by Andisa unless instructed directly by yourselves.

Who is the Data Controller

You, the customer, are the data controller because you have chosen to use our service and because we cannot access the data without you first agreeing for us to use the encryption pass phrase.

We check the reports and may occasionally manually start a backup to ensure that the backup process regularly succeeds however we are unable to access the data without your permission.

How do I ensure the data is deleted when it is no longer needed?

The Storegrid system keeps up to 5 copies of each file and automatically deletes older copies routinely.

If you notify us that you want to cancel the service then we will delete all data held on your behalf 30 days after termination.
